Great great grandfather William Brown Jr. family tree.

This is a photo I have from ? Maybe from Jane Brooks - Cousin Tommy? I'm not positive who this is but it "might" be William Brown Jr and his wife.

We are now connected to 2 "new" cousins on the Brown side.

William Brown, far as I could tell had 7 children. One of which was our great-grandmother Margaret "Maggie" Brown.

Sister of Maggie Brown was Cornelia Brown. Cornielia, our great-aunt, had a son Edward James. He is the "cousin Eddie" that some of my generation heard of from time to time. I may have met him I don't remember anything but his name being checked.

Edward James had 2 daughters. One is the mother of Gloria Ortiz who grew up in NYC but later moved to California.

The other daughter of Edward "cousin Eddie" James is the mother of Cabrini Abbatiello. I had the pleasure of meeting Cabrini and her husband, Alexander, in Queens and talking about shared memories of Englewood. Cabrini still lives in NY.

She had vivid memories of Sherwood and the menagerie of critters that were ever present when she visited our grandfather, James C. Smith - grandaddy, in Englewood with her mother and grandfather, cousin Eddie. (Great) Aunt Anna was remembered fondly as a playmate. Also sneaking some of the "egg nog" that was produced at 1st street.

Maggie Brown married James G. Smith.

Thanks to ancestry we are now also connected to a cousin who is descended from our great-grandfather's father.

I noticed some familiar photos of Maggie Smith on her tree but they were mis-identified. I contacted her and helped her identify that photo, which was similar to ones most of us have seen of her in her late years sitting in her yard with McKay park in the background.

I also helped Loren identify a photo her mother had of Aunt Anna at the '65 World's Fair in NYC. On the back was written the words "cousin".

Loren lives in Springfield Mass where at least 2 other Smith family members migrated to from Georgia. I hope to meet her someday soon.

I haven't any identifiable photos of any other Brown family members. If you think you do please send them to me.

We've been working on ancestry dot com but there doesn't look like there is too much more information to be found there.

So far as I know Gloria and her husband and Anthony have been to Sparkill, NY. Where the Brown family, as far as we can tell, originated.
