Here are the only 4 photos that I know of that appears to show one of the earliest reunions of the Miller and Smith familys.

Occaision appears to be the birth of cousin Sherwood. Sherwood was born in June of 1957. You don't notice it here but Karen Miller will be born in November of the same year, 1957. The location is in the back yard at 125 First Street in Englewood. People are seated just after the flower garden that was near the parking area that was along the brook. There was a smaller tree there. Not as big as that big pine tree that you could see from the sunroom and the house. We are in the shade of that. Leaves are still in the trees so it's still warm, not fall yet. Sherwood can't be more than a few weeks or so old.

No idea who is taking the photos. Could be my father Keith Miller. He had an old Kodak Brownie that he would take photos with. Sadly it's since disappeared somewhere.

Great grandmother Margaret "Maggie" Brown is seated center next to her son our grandfather james C (Caswell) Smith.

Absent is Our grandmother Elizabeth Rose Smith. She passed away in September of 1957. I don't know if she was in the hospital for a period before she passed or if it was sudden. Far as I know it was a heart attack. Sad. I don't remember her. My brother, Keith Miller (Jr.) said her remembered her somewhat. Cousin Cathy Smith said she also has a faint memory of her. Making up a bed of something, right Cathy?

I would guess the year 1957 since Sherwood Smith has just arrived on the scene (in my Mom's - Therese Miller's lap). He was born just after mid June '57. Karen will be born in Novermber this same year.
